My dog - an austrailian blue heeler mix - is the ultimate neigborhood dog. Kids up and down the block love her. She avoids the street at all cost, always greets neigborhood children, never snaps even when having her tail pulled or what ever kids will occasionally do. She is really a perfect family dog. But there is one problem. She is a squirrel killer. She's just made her second kill out of three attacks. She is always trying to go after those squirrels. I guess in a way I support her effort as the squirrels can be a nuisance digging up plants, trash, etc. But my little kids are a bit traumitized by the attacks. Should I just let it play its course or should I do something to prevent it and if so, what?
